The third angel’s message (Rev 14:9-11) contains a clear warning: do not worship the beast, his image, or receive his mark. This message is based on the prophecy of Revelation 13. The beast represents the apostate Church. The image of this beast is created by the second animal, which represents the United States. Ellen White carefully writes: “If the United States ever comes to ‘form an image of the beast,’ it means that the religious element will have enough ascendancy over the civil government to use itself as its power7. »

For more than 200 years, the United States has been the beacon of religious freedom. However, according to Bible prophecy, the time will come when religious freedom will be violated, and a movement will control the government to such an extent that laws will be passed to accommodate the wishes of the apostate churches. What will the formation of this image lead to? To intolerance towards anyone who does not agree with what this relationship between Church and State requires8.

Local Conference Deaf Ministries Help Share Jesus at Connecticut Deaf Expo

Nearly 1,500 people from the deaf community came from across the Northeast United States and beyond to the Waterbury Arc in Waterbury, Conn., on May 20, 2023, to meet friends, tour booths, observe exhibitors, and discover the point of view of deaf people for a day.

Jonathan Salomon and Jessica McGowan Smith of the Deaf Everywhere Are Family (DEAF) ministry of the Southern New England Conference of Seventh-day Adventists helped Paul and Tina Kelly at the booth. Three Angels Deaf Ministries (3ADM)/Deaf Bible School. Solomon enjoyed meeting people and sharing Jesus at his first Connecticut Deaf Expo.

The team was happy to reconnect with people they hadn’t seen since the COVID pandemic began. They informed attendees about the restart of monthly DEAF study meetings and DEAF Camp for 2023. They met many new people interested in Bible studies and Deaf Christian fellowship.
